Fuel filling necks on diesel-powered cars have a "misfueling protection system" that prevents gasoline from being pumped into the fuel tank. This bypass adapter can be used in emergency circumstances where the fuel station is using approved diesel fuel but has non-conforming-sized filling nozzles.
